From all the stuff I have read and heard there will not be a support class.
The classes will all be able to dps and then either be tank or heal. All classes will have support spells that will function in accordance to their non dps role. Buffs, snares, blinds, slows, etc. One of the leads in an interview said he plays his tank class like a support class sacrificing dps and tankyness so that he can be the guy who snares, and blinds, and whatever to help out the group.
The latest speculation is that the last 2 classes will have one healer and one tank.
The thing to remember is that Gaffney said there will be something like 40 spells for your class to choose from and you can only use 8 at one time. The mix and match of those spells plus how you gear your character will determine what class you are playing. I.E. if you are a spellslinger you can go full dps, full heal, full support, or a hybrid of the 3 depending on how you chip your gear and choose your spells.
