What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
To be honest I want to do a bit of both PvP and PvE, at least in the beginning. I have over my career as a MMO gamer grown to love raiding and organized PvP and even just doing some casual dungeons with friends. So honestly not having played Wildstar yet I don't know where my focus will end up, I would love to get back into raiding and I am extremely excited about war plots, so I don't know where i will end up. As far as casual vs competitive i have always been a competitive person. I often find myself theorycrafting and refining strategies to do things as well as I can but being a college student I am not sure if i will have enough time to be really truly a hardcore gamer (at least during the school year), so I plan to play it by ear and if I have time to be competitive then all the better. As far as being social goes I am not the most social person but I love being part of active guilds that use vent, teamspeak, or mumble to communicate instead of using the chat box as I think it leads to a much more vibrant community, and while I may not be the most talkative person I will definitely make my presence known and I look forwards to getting to know all of you.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
I have only really played 2 MMO's previously, those being WoW and GW2 which I am still playing to pass the time. In WOW I started off as a very casual player but after quitting during burning crusade and coming back during lich king I joined a raiding guild and played through until part way through cataclysm. At this point I played other games and waited for GW2 which I am still playing. I have played some other MMO's but never for long as they always seems sup par in comparison.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
After I started Playing WoW again I started learning what made a good guild as i was part of a few of them, some more successful than others. This is when I decided that what made a good guild was the community rather than the performance in raids or PvP, and while some of the guilds I was in had good communities they all eventually ended due to various complications. In GW2 I started off in a guild with some real life friends but most of them quit before even hitting lvl cap and the rest quit soon after. So when I started playing again after a few month gap I made it my goal to find a guild with a vibrant community I could join. the first guild I joined unfortunately at the time was having a lot of issues and died over the next few weeks, so I joined a guild that was born out of the ashes of the last one and it never got going strong and eventually died, which left me in my most recent guild which I am still a part of in GW2 which while stable (thank god) but does not have that strong of a community, but it does have enough of one to keep me there for the moment while I am still playing GW2. All this is really the reason your guild seems so attractive to me as you focus on community rather than the game.
How did you hear about the AltTabMe?
I saw your recruitment video on youtube while researching Windstar
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I hope to bring yet another skilled community member to the guild, and hope that I can grow to become friends with all of you. I think of myself as a skilled gamer and I love to strategize and help others do the same whether it is for PvP tactics or theorycrafting a build. Additionally I hope to help make the community as strong and vibrant as possible.
How much time do you spend a week on games?
During the summer I probably play about 20-25 hours a week, and during the school year it varies a lot based on my current work load as I am studying as an engineer and sometimes have tons of work to do, but I hope to play a reasonable amount and I am almost always available on weekends.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Your guild looks to have a great community, Wildstar is shaping up to be a great game, and I am extremely excited to jump in and enjoy the game with you all.
