Interesting new Android based console in Development

Just ran across this and share with you all. It's a kickstarter for a new console, yes, but the thing is this one is android based and fully supports 'hacking'. The ideal release price for it is $99 and will fully support indie development. Give it watch:

Pretty sweet project. I'm not much into console gaming anymore, but I would definitely snag one of those for a hundred bucks.

Yeah. Resisted dumping 100 bucks into it myself. I probably won't buy it either way.

After looking at the specs neither will I, but I think my video game tastes fall into a small minority. Games like Angry Birds and MineCraft seem to be super popular these days, so I'd bet this thing will thrive.

I might give it a second thought though, if it offers a really cool, super intuitive Smart TV GUI/overlay. Something to replace my Samsung's factory interface would be worth a $100 price tag. I wouldn't mind being able to customize my TV's interface more than I currently can.
