Do you have any friends in the guild? If so, who?
Not yet. *winky face* Is there a winky face in here? I’ll find out later.

Main Character
Not sure yet.

Character Name
I have a few different names I use depending on the kind of class. So can’t be sure yet.

Race
Depends on the profession I choose. Probably not Asura. It’s like Bartok from Anastasia fucked some weird mouse-frog and the Asura were born. Not for me.

Profession(Class)
Holding out on making a decision until I get my hands on the game in the next BWE. From what I’ve heard I should wait until I play the different professions before I make a decision.

What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I’m interested in both PvP and PvE.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
Like a lot of other people WoW was my biggest MMO addiction. Played it on and off for about 5 years. I’ve tried several other MMO’s but the only other ones I stuck with for more than a few weeks were Warhammer Online and Guild Wars.

Beyond that I was in a fairly large Clan for the original Call of Duty back in the day. After several months I became in charge of a “Battalion” of about 30-40 other people. Mostly this required me to organize meetings for the battalion where I would update members, find new recruits, and hand out promotions. Exciting stuff I know, but I was 15 at the time and had a blast doing it.

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I’ve been in a few different guilds. During vanilla WoW I was in a raiding guild that ran MC, BWL, etc. This was easily the most fun I had with the game as I was playing how I wanted to, as an Arms Warrior. Of course like most other warriors, slowly I started gathering up a tanking set of items that the other tanks already had, so eventually I became a sort of off-tank.

Then in Burning Crusade I ended up in a much smaller guild that needed a dedicated tank, so I gave up any hope of picking up my two-handed axe again and respecced Protection. I continued on making my way to Heroics in WOTLK. But, eventually I ended up quitting and haven’t really gone back for any long period of time.

How did you hear about the Guild?
From the Alttabme podcast.

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
Once I warm up to people I become as chatty as anyone else. People have called me funny, I’m not sure if I can trust them though. I mean, they could be wrong.

I seem to be pretty good at video games, not something I usually brag about, but if you spend most of your life playing a lot of games you start to figure new ones out pretty quickly.

With that stuff out of the way, I think more importantly I’ll bring an attitude that meshes well with the kind of guild that you’re trying to make here. I’m just a guy who wants to play and enjoy the game. I can be serious when need be, but I'm generally laid back and would like to have as much fun with the game as possible.

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
It may hurt my application but I’m going to be honest and say probably not. I will likely join another guild or two. As of right now I don’t have any others lined up or anything. Will Arcanix be the one I spend the most time with? I hope so, but that’s a pretty big commitment. I mean we just met a few days ago. This is too fast! Too much all at once! I want out! I WANT OUT! No, but seriously… I want in.

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I can’t really think of much else to say that doesn’t go without saying. Like everyone else here I’m very excited for GW2 and since none of my friends will be playing (as of right now), I’m looking to hopefully make some new ones who will be.

Any other questions you have, I will answer.

I'm not gonna lie, I really don't like the idea of joining other guilds other than for close friends or timezone reasons. So for me that is a turn off. The rest of your app was pretty good. Imma leave this one up to the OTHERS.

Well, I loved the app honestly. Very informative.

Question though! K so i see you want to join other guilds (which to me if fine as long as you contribute a good amount of time with us throughout the week - real life happens of course and we dont want you giving up your life for us hehe.) For example i still play WoW and raid 9 hours a week with my guild over there, But i will be spending the other hours of my gaming time over here on GW2 doing all that fun stuff. I vote yes on this app, but later on say down the road you stop playing with us and only your other guilds then you know how that goes :)

I understand that completely. The only reason I say that is because I don't know anyone in the guild yet. Like I said, I just found this place recently. I wouldn't want to tell you now that you'll be the only guild I join and then go behind your back and do it anyway. I do want to find one main guild to stick with, I hope it's this one but I did just get here.

I don't plan on doing any kind of frequent guild hopping. I'm honestly not really sure how the whole multiple-guild system works. I should probably google it before I make crazy assumptions. But if I can be involved in more than one guild chat at once, that could be a really awesome tool for WvW alone. And the WvW is a huge draw for me. You could see guilds working together rather than competing for progression like in WoW. That could be really cool. But obviously Arcanix would take priority over any other guilds. Both in representation and time devoted.

I am a bit wary of the multiple guild joining as well here, so I am on the fence. You do get brownie points with me for playing the ORIGINAL Call of Duty. What clan? Did you compete? PGL?TWL? I think there was one other ladder we did at some point and I cant remember. Favorite map? Shit I am rambling, sorry nostalgia kick.

I say fuck it, try it out. If it doesn't work out after the recruit week period well, we can all go our own way. But I wanna hear Gyoin's opinion first.

I was in WFC (War Force Clan). We competed on TWL and another one I can't remember. Probably the same one you're thinking about. I loved Carentan, but then again I loved a lot of the maps. By far my favorite FPS of all time. Holds a special place for me.

As for the multiple guilds. I want to be clear that I'm not going to be actively looking to join other guilds. I've been in guilds before that I never quite connected with. I would love to find a guild that gives me the same sort of "family" feel that my smaller guild in Burning Crusade did. I was willing to sacrifice and be their tank because I got to know them so well and felt at home with them. I wanted to progress forward with them even if it meant giving up the way I wanted to play. If Arcanix gives me that same feeling then I will give it everything I have in return. I mean not EVERYTHING, but you know what I mean.

Well.... I think I'm going to go +1 on this one. I was sitting pretty on that fence again, but the scales tipped in your favor a little when you said you wanted a family feel in your guild. That is the exact type of environment we are trying to achieve. Some of us used to play in a guild back in the day (Arcanix during Vanilla and BC WoW) that really did fee like family. Hell, some of us drove across the country to meet up and enjoy our guild leaders wedding :)

I approve. I really think we're what you're looking for and the separate guilds won't be an issue :)
