A cappella!

Hey everyone!

So I have been MIA for quite some time now, but it is for very good reasons. Firstly, I have a bunch of schoolwork, so that obviously takes up most of my time. I'm also a member of the Distinguished Speakers Board at CU, and we recently invited John Legend to come to our campus and perform/give a talk about education. That's basically what we do all year; bring amazing speakers that have awesome things to say..followed by a dinner and reception with them :) It's super fun.

But best of all, I joined an a cappella group, and that has been taking up a super large amount of my time as well. But it is one of my greatest loves of all time, and I'm proud to show us off to you all now :) We did a competition this weekend for a talent show, and we ended up getting 2nd place! Not to shabby! So, without further ado, a present to you, EXTREME MEASURES A CAPPELLA! Let me know what you guys think! (P.S. I am the one in the ripped pants..lol) (P.P.S. I choreographed the last number! Let me know what you guys think of that as well!!) (P.P.P.S. Just a fun factoid..another member of the group happens to play Guild Wars 2, and just happens to play on Yak's Bend server as well. Small world, right??)

Wow grats on your placement in the competition! I love a cappella as well. Maybe I am biased but I found the choreography for good feeling THE BEST AND MOST INTERESTING. awesome job! The part with the hands Thrusting out was cool. The video itself made it harder to appreciate due to the limitations of cell phone recordings, and the mics seemed a little hot and tinny... But a fun performance nonetheless! Thanks for sharing this! Wear your alttabme gear on stage next time, lol

Thanks Kismet!! Yeah, it was unfortunate about the recording, but we didnt even think we got one so we were at least pleased we had something to hear ourselves at least. And yeah. Not the best sound system ever either. But no matter! We did the best we could with it :p

Please don't take my comments personally Green... it wasn't a criticism of your group performance at all, I'm just anal retentive, OCD when it comes to details, and passionate about music/singing. Hot mics are the soundguy's problem, not the greenguy's! :) I bet you've seen Pitch Perfect (movie) right? LOVED IT! You guys keep up the good work.



 
Of course!! I didn't take any of it personally at all!! :) nothing to take personally hehe. And I love that movie. So funny!
