The Lost Shores

November 2012

Something stirs in the Sea of Sorrows…
Unravel a mystery of monstrous proportions in The Lost Shores, a massive one-time world event that will change Tyria forever!
The Lost Shores

Oooohhhhhsnap.

I hope the one-time-event part is just the unveiling/introduction, and not the whole thing itself.

Fun (they really could have done a bit more with the screenshots though, I imagine)

probably gonna happen on the 15th. That is when they have hinted the big patch in November happens.

Let's hope it was better than the 'One-time Halloween event'...which I got up early for but missed because LA took so long to load :p

I hope this is something that chains to something more entertaining. The one time event and then closing down stuff is sort of annoying. Esp how they had the mad king thing for one day and only left it up because of the hurricane. I'd love to see something that evolved and grew. Not necessarily phasing like with WoW but something more along the lines of doing quests to open the doors of AQ :3 That was a LOT of fun ^_^

Yesssssss.. The AQ event series was great (as was the raid).

Well I'm hoping for something that allows for a longer chain. Perhaps something that requires you to do a few parts and then when you complete it you get a thing...maybe opens a dungeon or something. Then they release another patch and you can do the next part...more quests...more story...I don't know. Something that's more long term than the Halloween event tho.

Yes, but it was interminable. I like events that don't take more than 12 hours of play to complete.
The idea is that it was a group/server effort. If you wanted to put 3 hours into it, cool. If you wanted to put 100 hours into it, cool. It wasn't like the halloween event (Mad King) where you HAD to complete all parts of it personally, on a timeline, to get the achievement. It was a bunch of people working towards the same cause, it was up to you how much time you wanted to donate to the effort.
