Do you have any friends in the guild? If so, who?
None...yet =P

Main Character
Asura Mesmer? Confused, since the fields underneath ask the exact same question.

Character Name
Enarka

Race
Asura

Profession(Class)
Mesmer, probably revolving around Blind/Confusion on offense (thus interrupts and control), along with some defensive Glamour Skills (Portal/Reflect Missile/Mass Condition Removal). Here's an untested draft of the build I think corresponds to what I'd like to play: http://gw2skills.net/editor/en/?fgA...XdSKgNqB;T8AgyyuEcJ5S1liLqvMFJKy+l7L5XrCGfsLA

What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
PvP definitely, with PvE on the side if it turns out to be enjoyable! I will probably be very much into professions as well; it's an aspect of games I also very much enjoy.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
World of Warcraft, PvP'd since release (how many years is that already...good lord).

Also, I played a Mesmer in GW for about six months but the lack of fluidity of the game engine was too much an obstacle for me in the end. GW2's Beta is better by far, and so I'll be sticking to the game when it comes out.

I played other MMOs for varying time spans but none really stuck to me; some I even played for less than an hour... Guild Wars 2 I already spent a deal more time on, so it's a great sign ;)

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I was apart of guilds since the release of WoW, but never was attached to the guild itself and its prestige as much as I was to the players; I have achieved the Gladiator title in World of Warcraft for every single season prior to Cataclysm, a point at which I simply decided to do Rated Battlegrounds. I have not achieved stellar ratings with Rated Battlegrounds for lack of interest, but I understand the logistics of objective-based PvP very well.

The highest Arena rating I ever achieved on WoW was 2700 as a Warlock running Rogue/Warlock/Shaman (RLS). I also played other classes for funz and gigglez to 2200ish rating, specifically Priest, Hunter and Rogue in various team compositions.

As for the social aspect of guilds, really, there's no point in staying in a guild if you're going to act like a completely antisocial smug-faced condescending prick; hence, I tend to be friendly to everyone regardless of their disposition towards myself. Simply put, I try to resolve issues rather than sustain them, and for that reason I think this whole guild endeavour is awesome, because you have like-minded individuals seeking to build a FRIENDLY environment to evolve in.

Needless to say, the PvP community in WoW can be hostile to newcomers, but I nevertheless taught countless newly level 85 characters how to keybind/strafe backwards and improve their mechanics for no reason other than to have them progress. Looking back, it still gives me that fuzzy feeling when someone says "Thanks" and means it.

How did you hear about the Guild?
Podcast on YouTube

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I'm a very curious player and I seek to absorb as much information as I can about things I invest time in; hence, I ask questions, I share what I know, I help when I am able to, and I also have very good mechanics and situational judgement. Overall, I guess I'm a friendly, motivated and *potentially* very skilled player (no way to know before I actually get to level 60 PvP).

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
Of course; I also had no idea people were premaking guilds.

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
The keyboard and mouse I own are extensions of myself. Also, my screen. And my Nostromo 52.

I'd also like to point out something I feel is very important, albeit it might seem completely irrelevant: I'm not a Flavor of the Month reroller. I don't know if that occured in Guild Wars 1 as much as it did in WoW, but people there tended to switch their main character based not on a true desire to learn another class's mechanics but rather because said class was broken beyond belief, even if because of glitches and bugs.

I prefer sticking to a single character and level other classes for the sake of knowing how their mechanics work and, thus, have a better idea of how to defeat them. I have a very rational approach to gaming and life in general, which I believe to be very helpful. Analytical mind, I would guess.

So...on that note, I'm out! I have a big project to polish, but I'll be keeping an eye out on this thread in the hopes that I get a positive reply and eventually get to play with all of you.

PS: If you care at all, the project in question has to do with poker game theory and, to a larger extent, the effects of randomness on the human brain.
