Have you ever jolted awake screaming something? I remember one time I sat bolt upright and screamed "AUSTIN!!" Which was the name of a guy in class in high school. We weren't even friends really.

I woke up feeling as if I was hovering 2 inches off my bed, paralyzed, unable to scream. Then after about 3 seconds I gained the ability to scream for help.

I have extremely vivid dreams and often speak in my dreams. i used to sleep walk a lot. Active mind.

That's called sleep paralysis.

yeah it was scary as fuck.

A lot of people, when they have sleep paralysis, also see dark figures while in their paralysed state. I've also heard of people saying that the figures sometimes hold them in place, above their bodies. I guess be glad it wasn't like this.

Yeah I remember what woke me, it was a witches scream. I was floating in a hell like environment on a bed.

Ahhh. Makes sense. Do you get these often or just the once? I'm sure you know not to have people try to wake you while sleepwalking, you should also not have them try to wake you if you have a sleep paralysis dream.

I stopped waling in my sleep a long time ago. I still talk up a storm according to all my ex's :p

I have sleep paralysis once every one or two months. It still freaks me out every time I wake up with it.

Why do you get it so often? I have only ever had it once and i still think it was the witch, because I swear i was 2 inches off my bed.

I have also turned the sun on before. From pitch black to daytime snap of a finger.

I once woke up paralyzed as a GIANT (it filled my room) spider pinned me to the bed.

Then again, I live in Australia - it could have been real...

I remember having sleep paralysis about 3 or 4 times when I was young. I would wake up in the middle of the night, cant move my body but I could move my eyes and look around the room. Id try to yell out to my mom but couldn't talk either. It was some freaky shit.

Whew don't get me started on this subject haha. While I don't suffer from night terrors (thank God) I have had just about every other sleep disorder. Started out with insomnia around 9th grade. I would sometimes be unable to sleep for 3-4 days and even suffered from hallucinations from time to time. In college I began too sleep walk occasionally as well as experience sleep paralysis (which can be terrifying). At the peak I probably experienced a sleep walking episode once every 3 months, and a sleep paralysis episode 2-3 tunes a week. I also often hear voices or see shadow figures or something jolting past the door when I'm first falling asleep as well as during episodes of sleep paralysis. It's exacerbated when I take ambien a bit too frequently.

I've had something similar but completely different because i wasn't paralyzed. I would wake up and see something that wasn't there and go check it out (turn on a light, stare at it, whisper to it etc etc) My wife would wake up and say "go to sleep", "your dreaming" "turn off the freaking light".

Once i woke and looked into our closet (door is usually open) saw a dark figure moving, jumped out of bed ran towards it and started attacking it... That Jacket won't dare look in my direction again
