Thought I'd introduce myself as I'm interested in joining AltTabMe.
Many years ago, I played a lot of Counter Strike and was lucky enough to be a part of some really fun clans. I'm telling you this because in one of those clans, we had a really diverse group and, despite the age range, got along really well. We had a member in the group that we referred to as the old man, and he was 35 at the time. It just dawned on me that I'm now that guy (..2 years off)! But, I say with age comes wisdom (well, that's what I tell myself). I'd also like to think that the gaming community in general these days spans a much wider age range than it did 15 years ago. At the very least I think it's very cool we're part of a past time (gaming), that didn't exist all that long ago.
Apart from my early addiction to counter strike, I've been a very long term MMO player starting with UO and hitting most of the major releases. WoW definitely captured most of my time, but it's been a love/hate relationship with some of the changes the game has been through and due to the fact that several of the great guilds I was a part of didn't last past some of the expansions. I have to say that AltTabMe definitely appeals as a group that stands outside just one specific game.
Outside of my virtual adventures, I live on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I'm not an "out-doorsy" person per-se, but I certainly appreciate the fantastic natural beauty of the Island. Since getting here 8 years ago, it's going to be a difficult place to leave. The concept of traffic here is a few cars waiting on a red light. I've lived in a bunch of different places, but mostly when I was younger. Gaming has certainly been a constant in my life. I enjoy the comradeship of finding a good gaming group and the chance to help others.
I work for a cable company that has treated me well over the last 7 years. The job does give me a decent amount of free time to dedicate to game likes Wildstar (!) in the future
