Hearthstone Beta

I just got my beta invite for Hearthstone!

For those that don't know, it's Blizz's new online TCG that's based on WoW. It looks like a ton of fun and I'd like to play with fellow Tabbers.

Opted in myself. There's no NDA which is nice. I'm hearing a lot of nice things about the Beta. Very polished and stable.
 
Card games are always fun, I opted in. I'd be interested in seeing how it plays before it launches. I also really hope Blizzard makes it compatible with android, which I'm sure they will do as the beta progresses!
 
I opted into the beta. I had to dust off my authenticator that hasn't seen use since early diablo 3.

Had to charge the iPad which I never use which has the authenticator linked to it. I had already opt'd in. I think I did it when they released the info. I'm hoping to get a key, I'm just teasing myself by watching all these people stream.

Im doing the same thing just watching streams and you tube videos to get an idea on how to build up decks. Really hope i get a key
 
I wasn't able to get it downloaded last night since a bunch of other stuff came up. I'll put a high priority on it today, though.

I'm a big fan of Magic, and the mana use in this game seems somewhat similar to how land functions, so I'm excited for it.

What deck should I go with first? I'm thinking priest, cuz that's what I played in WoW, but I think a warlock deck could be awesome too.
 
I saw an awesome video where a warlock summoned the Demon Lord Jaraxxus. It turned around and killed the warlock summoner and took his place as the deck hero. I think I will go for that.
 
Im not into the whole card game thing, but this game just looks like soo much fun to play! i signed up for beta today and hope to get in! the Warlock/rouge looks like fun to play!
 
The lock deck is interesting because there is cost to many of the cards. For example, it takes lifepoints away or you have to discard from your hand. The hero ability is Lifetap where you pay 2 mana and 2 life to draw a card. Since you can make a deck with decent LP recovery, it's not a bad deck at all.

Rogue is more speed beatdown. The rogues I played all equipped weapons, put poison on them, and attacked me directly with the hero.
 
Are you limited to theme decks? I think I saw on TB's youtube channel a UI where the only themes listed were thosed based off of World of Warcraft classes.

I also think this might not be such a great idea, since they already have a TCG...?[DOUBLEPOST=1377122179,1377122147][/DOUBLEPOST]Err, just quit Magic the Gathering a few months a go, so I'm looking for a new TCG experience. Preferably, online this time.[DOUBLEPOST=1377122298][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh..so that's where I saw the TB video lol.

You have a deck hero that holds all your health points. Based on the class of that character, you have access to themed cards. In addition, there are lots of neutral cards that can be used for any deck.

In the early game, the basic decks are more powerful than what you can assemble on your own, but as you get more powerful cards, you can customize a better one.

If you get cards you don't want, you can disenchant them and combine the parts together to make new cards hat you do want. I haven't seen the crafting system yet. Either it is t implemented or I haven't unlocked it yet. I can disenchant cards though.

Yes Gyoin a crafting system within a collectable system. Since there is no trading cards in the game, and you can only use 2 of any card you can "disenchant" cards to get arcane dust (I think its arcane) Then you use the dust to "make" any card of your choosing if you have enough dust. It really helps fill out your deck(s) and get rid of useless extra cards.
