World of Warcraft [5 Years]
Rift (Less Than a Year)

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I was a part of a guild on World of Warcraft called Equinox (US – Misha) I joined this guild a few years ago during Wrath of the Lich King after my previous guild fell apart due to a variety of reasons. My stay with Equinox was overall amazing and I made many longtime friends. I even met the now former GM and Raid Leader in real life!
I was known simply as “The Gnome” in Equinox, or the Reckless Ankle shanking Gnome Rogue Hauntie. I was well known for doing extremely reckless and dangerous things on WoW for amusement. From the raiding scene, I was the top rogue in my guild as well as on my server. I was very social with the guild, as well as our server. I was on our mumble server almost every single night which always was enjoyable as well.
During Cataclysm, the guild struggled to maintain a roster of 25, but through sheer force of will, community, and of course dedication, we ended the expansion strong as a 25 man guild. Even as we lost more members during Dragon Soul, I do humbly remember one statement from our GM, that even if we lost our ability to run 25s, she would continue to do whatever she could to help me earn my legendary daggers, something that I can’t thank her enough for. As Mists of Pandaria launched, a lot changed in the guild. First and foremost, our Raid Leader decided to step down to focus more on real life with our GM (his wife) planning to step down sometime after Mists of Pandaria Launched. At this point I was playing a vital role as one of the officers in the guild. A lot of the crew from WotLK and Cataclysm decided to leave the game as well for more real life oriented things. So the face of the guild rapidly began to change. During Mists from 5.0 to right before 5.2, I had decided to step down from being an officer due to the growing demand of real life on me (Full Time College Student and Part Time Job) The leadership of the guild had completely changed and the guild was turned into a more hardcore oriented guild, and my schedule was beginning to conflict with raid times. I was also losing interest in WoW at this point. In January I decided to officially resign from the Equinox Raid team, and remained as a Friend ranked member of the guild.
I never formally left equinox, I just opted to play more casually, prior to my subscription ending. Since then I have kept in touch with my friends who have stepped down and continue to play games with today. I have not been a member of an active gaming community since however.
Overall, my time with equinox was fantastic, I got the opportunity to make great friends, some of which I have met in real life. I was able to complete some of the hardest content WoW had to offer, learn leadership skills that have helped me in real life, and so on and so forth. I can go on for hours about how many things made my old guild so great…but I feel I have rambled enough ^_^
How did you hear about the AltTabMe?
I saw your post on WildStar Central, checked the website and saw the awesome Site Banner. The Dragons are a nice touch!
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I want to apart of more than just a guild for one game. That’s what made me fall out of contact with my old guild as it was a WoW Specific guild. As with them however, this is what I will bring to the table, should you guys accept my application: Personality, Randomness, Player Skill and Dedication, and Support.
Starting off, I am extremely friendly and very easy to talk too. I am usually somewhat shy when I first join a new guild, but this goes away extremely fast. I will make every effort to get to know everyone I play with as well as become friends with everyone. I am very talkative once I get to know people and enjoy random conversations in mumble, which eventually turn into some random adventure on the game we are playing.
That being said, I am quite random and I’m known for performing seemingly impossible and hilarious feats for my amusement. What this can mean is my sudden urge to solo dungeons that shouldn’t be soloed, or going hey! Let’s do this!, which helps me remain proactive in doing things with my friends. I like to play in a way that forces me to think outside the box, beyond what most people would never even dare to consider. Best Example: I evasion tanked Heroic Professor Putricide 25 during what almost become a wipe (we rezzed our tanks, then wiped not long after that, but hey it was fun!). Earned myself extra EP that night for that triumph! (/flex) My play style can also be very beneficial for the group as well, as I will prioritize the group’s wellbeing in a raid fight over my personal numbers. Moving on…
Player Skill and Dedication to the team, as I had mentioned previously I will put the wellbeing of the team before my own needs and wants. What this means is if I have to sit for someone else who would make the raid for comp viable, so be it. I care very little about loot and gear, as my philosophy is that skill makes the player, not the gear. I am a team player first and foremost, and that’s how I have always operated. Do I have my own goals in raiding, yes of course, but I line those goals with those of the guilds and things always work out well in the end. In terms of skill, I will make every single effort to learn my main class in every possible role I can. From tanking, to dps, you can rest assured that the effort will be made to master every single aspect of my class! I love rogue classes in MMOs, and the fact that I will be able to tank is beyond exciting for me. So you can count on me to be that backup tank when needed. I am also very good at teaching people my ways of rogue like classes. I have helped many of my friends who started on my main class and have helped them become great at what they do.
This pretty much covers everything that I will bring to your community. Should you accept this application, you will receive a witty, random, dedicated person for your WildStar Guild
How much time do you spend a week on games?
Given my work and school schedule, this fluctuates often. Usually 30 – 40 hours though give or take. Given that this is hopefully going to be my last year of college my playtime will drop when major projects are assigned, but I will do my best to be around in the evenings
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I am currently a college student, majoring in IT and minoring in Healthcare Management. I love to build computers as well as fix computers.
Along with that I am a huge rollercoaster fanatic and I go on rollercoaster adventures with my little brother every summer. I have been on the tallest and fastest roller coasters in North America, fun stuff!
Have you finished all of the prerequisite requirements?
Yes (I read and replied to the rules, I understand I must be active on the forums to stay on the roster, and I have a minimum of 1-2 posts(other than this application), and I made sure those posts weren't just bullshit)
