Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

I've been watching this game for a while.

since it's getting close to their open beta and release, I was just wondering who is going to get this game or at least give open beta a try.

 
I got into beta. This game is not for me. Slow paced, very metallic asian themed sound effects that tear at the ears, and once again jiggly physics that make me want to fuck my character more than play it. Or laugh at it.. not sure yet.
 
I haven't had a chance to get my hands on it yet, so I'm still unsure, but I know i'll be getting the collectors edition at least for the art book.
 
I played beta a while ago. It was fun and may even pick it up, but it won't hold my time that much. I'm feeling less inclined to buy it with Wildstar right around the corner.

It'll keep me entertained for a while, But most of the time, if a game comes out with an art book that i'd really like to get my hands on, I'd buy, even if i play the game or not.

And as for Wildstar, it's number one on my list of things.
 
I got a beta invite over the weekend for it but I haven't tried it. Looking at the site it didn't really appeal to me. I don't even remember signing up for the beta lol.
 
I got into the beta and played quite a bit last weekend. I think I'll definitely get it. It is a bit more slow paced than other MMO's but I kinda like that. Also the crafting in this game is excellent. It takes effort, and being a top crafter actually means something. Only crafting in an MMO that could compete was Star Wars Galaxies.

If crafting is as good as SWG, then that definitely sounds like something to check out.
 
Am I the only one REALLY PUMPED about this game? it's definitely not everyones cup of tea but it is a beautiful game and plays really well (as far as the beta goes)... so tell me, are you playing this when it releases august 27th?

I'll probably be playing on release, but I won't be taking part in any form of guild/group management. Will be playing very casually. I will create a TAB Guild (Or linkshell? /shrug), but I do not expect people to be all over it since it seems the games interest will be small. But there will be one :)
 
Some form of Thovarisk will be present, that is for sure.

But on that note could we join a non legacy server? I'd like to be in said tab linkshell but I dont plan to be in a legacy server soooo.

I wanted to beta this before I decided.. so as of now I'm 50/50 on whether I will play. If I do it will be casual.
