What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
Historically, I've been a hardcore PvE raider. I love boss mechanics, I get my jollies on organizing a fight and seeing the boss go down because the plan was executed to the LETTER. But the more I look into GW2 the more I want to play this WvW. I can't recall an MMO with anything quite like it.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
I hope you've got a minute. Excluding, online console play such as sports games and FPS titles, I began my career as mudder...yes. I MUD'ed. I'm mature enough now to admit it. But...when the mouse met the computer, I got a late start to the "modern" MMO. I began with EQ at the end of it's peak just in time to get into the AO and then DAoC beta. From then on...it was like I was a freaking magnet for alpha and beta invites. I either was in the inital alpha or early beta for eve, planetside, DAOC2, WoW, SWG, and many more I'm simply too embarrassed to admit that I had installed on my computer. My longest tours were in City of heros (almost a year), SWG(Well over 2 years including alpha and betas) and WoW for a solid 2 years (including beta time).

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I don't think a gamer can call themselves a raider, or PvE specialist and not be in a guild. I've seen my fair share. I was a senior officer in my SWG guild and eventually promoted to GM for a decent stay until the MMO Killer(WoW).

In WoW...heres a funny story...I wanted to play a much more casual game. I started a guild with some college buddies. We soon found that we didn't have the resources for some of the end game content we were use to running in SWG so we merged with a larger guild. I kid you not 3 days after we merged, the GM disbanded the guild and all the officers split. So being the organizer I am, I began to pick up the pieces and build one of the largest raiding guilds on laughing skull. But running a 250 person guild is a full time job, and I already had one of those. It burned me out hardcore. I retired just before the Litch King was released and swore off MMOs....enter SW:ToR. I joined late, just a couple months ago, with some of the same college buddies I was guided with in WoW. And as most of the ToR players are, they've grown tired and moved on to some other rubbish MMO leaving me with a dyeing guild in another dyeing MMO.

How did you hear about the Guild?
As a side note, it's interesting how these questions seem to just flow one into the other...As I was saying...I found Arcanix via AltTabMe.Com. I found the site, via YouTube. See I've been purposely ignoring EVERYTHING about GW2. Unlike every other MMO I've played I wanted to experience this game without playing betas, or reading countless sites about mechanics, and discover all that on my own. The night before I bought the game (today) I decided to do a little research on professions, and races and I found the ATB podcasts. I was immediately attracted.

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I love the fact that there are all walks of life in this guild from all over the place. I tend to get along with just about everyone. I'm kinda like sprite...there aren't too many liquors that I don't mix we'll with. I mentioned earlier, I have an aptitude for organizing chaos, and creating it. I LOVE helping, educating, and being a student. Not literally of course.

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
I've always been a firm believer, that if you need to be in a second or third guild, you're not getting your money's worth from your first guild, and you probably aren't putting much INTO your first guild either. TRANSLATION: No

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Personaly, I'm a retired computer nerd turned professional chef. I've been cooking for about 2 years professionally and currently work at a fine dining Italian place in Las Vegas. I have a paintball team back home in Houston, Texas, I pretend I can play drums, and I'm rebuilding my first motorcycle, a 1983 Suzuki GS450GA.

One final note...MMOs took a lot out of me. Running hardcore guilds in SWG and WOW brought me just about zero fun...except when you could pistol whip those big ass Kimogillas before they nerf'ed it, but them people keep bringing me back. It's that social aspect that makes me want to log in and run some quests. That's what I'm looking for and that's why I think we'll be a great fit.

I like this only because of the

"Sent from my iPad" and there is punctuation and capitols!!!

One point I kinda want to touch upon as a keynote. You spent a lot of time in your other MMO's as a leader and relatively hardcore raider. You also just bought the game super recently and walking into it relatively cold. I'm actually really excited to see how you react to the game. I also want to give a reminder that we are a casual guild and, even though we do run a lot of WvW, SPvP, and somewhat competitive dungeon groups, we are casual in the end. Are you able to take a breather and just enjoy the game? We'll gladly bring you in if yes is the answer, but I just want another reaffirmation that you're coming into it with an open mind, as this game really does benefit best for those that do. <3

Good points and now that I have been un-distracted by the ipad... a reply will definitely help clear things up :)

In response to both if you, yes. That's the one thing I found I loved about this guild. You seem to have some very experienced and seasoned gamers who are looking for a casual, but competitive experience. And that's what I'm looking for. Serious gamers who are just here to have fun and enjoy the game for what it is...a game.

It's the "work" that drove me away from this genre in the first place.
